Paranoia

So today a friend of mine showed me a little article about how some F*tard's might be able to get access to ones RSA keys or other sensitive information by simply placing a cell phone next to your computers for about one hour or so.

I guess its kinda building on the whole mid 90s TEMPEST scare regarding EMF radiation. This is purely accoustic in nature.

Hmm....

So it kinda reminds me of a few other articles about airgap jumping bios viruses. http://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2013/11/01/the-badbios-virus-that-jumps-airgaps-and-takes-over-your-firmware-whats-the-story/

It makes me wonder if we are starting to get into a time when we will need to have switches to physically and electrically disconnect Mic's and speakers.

With that said we may also need to start migrating to passively cooled embeded applications and start looking at laminating our motherboards with alternating mixtures of non conductive and Pb/Fe impregnated epoxy.

Welcome the kingdom of epoxy glop tops back to our humble geek caves.
